Chile wins 2016 Copa America beating Argentina 4-2

Chile defeated Argentina in the final of 2016 Copa America and won their second major tournament in as
many years. Lionel Messi lead Argentina dominated the game where both teams were reduced to 10 men
but neither team could break the deadlock in 120 minutes of play. Just like the 2015 Copa America Chile
went on to win the competition on penalties.

Vidal missed the opening spot kick handing intitiative to Argentina but Lionel Messi totally messed up his
spot kick sending it into the crowd. Afterwards Chile scored their next 4 penalties while Biglia missed as
Chile won their second Copa America title.

Thats the third straight international final Messi has lost in as many years. He also missed the penalty in the
shoot-out for the very first time in his career.
